Groundbreaking for Charters of Freedom

Be Part of History — Right Here in Portage!

We are thrilled to share exciting news with you — Portage is becoming the first community in Wisconsin to receive a Charters of Freedom display!
These permanent, life-size replicas of our nation’s founding documents will include - the Declaration of Independence, four pages of the United States Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, as displayed in The National Archives, in Washington, D.C., along with an additional display of the Civil Rights Amendments.
